Production space
Up until March 2005 the company used 1,750 sq,m. (17,500 sq.ft) production space at Vana Narva mnt 8 (Jõelähtme county). Explosion-like growth of the company in the recent years forced the management to consider production expansion and modernization, including moving into a bigger space that would fit the up-to-date industrial equipment being purchased.
New production space and the headquarters offices totaling 4,500 sq.m (45,000 sq.ft) are located at Suur-Sõjamäe 35a in Tallinn. The company has moved in there on April 1st, 2005. The production space was re-constructed according to the contemporary standards. It is a part of a techno-park area, which hosts (in addition to U-Kolle) several other manufacturing facilities.
The choice of the new location has been driven by availability of energy resources, accessibility of transport hubs and main roads as well as by active interest and support of Tallinn authorities and potential for further expansion of the production.
The new production space is roughly 2.5 times the size of the previous factory the company had. Before the company moved in, the whole space was re-constructed and equipped according to the European standards. The new space offers all what the company needs for successful day-to-day operation. Among other things one of the country’s most modern fluid an powder painting lines has been installed and put into production
In addition to all the above the company is planning further purchases of modern industrial equipment in short-to-medium term to extend both the production capacity and products quality. |
